Royal Treatment
Royal BLUE, that is.
We made it through this past weekend's mock disaster, complete with flushing toilets, climate control, dimmer switches and wainscotting. It was tough, but Bayou Rescue prevailed, even though we were required to wear royal blue shirts all weekend.
All jokes aside, the training from Noah's Wish in Savannah was as good as it could be - under the circumstances. We learned so much about their unique system and focus. Dave drank the Kool-Aid.
We will be so much better at maximizing our resources (I mean all of us) next time a disaster hits.
The training focused on the pitfalls of the early hours of set-up after a disaster, community relationships, teamwork, animal CPR and all of the individual areas particular to Noah's Wish's operations.
We'll post pictures soon!
