Animal Rescue New Orleans
operations have been handed over to local residents for continued rescue work.

Ann Jordan, in Charlotte, NC has procured
large donations of hay for the horses and cows in the Plaquemines Parish and other areas. These livestock are starving in decimated pastures, with their local food supply damaged by saltwater.

In addition, Ann has been hard at work collecting
donations to send down with superhero animal rescue Garo, from NY. Garo is moving down to the LA gulf area for 7 months, to help with efforts to rescue and find homes for the countless dogs and cats still wondering in several areas.  Garo has arranged no-kill shelter placement for several hundred animals in New York.

Want to help?  These folks and animals need:

1) Drivers that can help with a leg (or an entire trip) to transport animals from New Orleans to New York.  This may even be a team of 1-2 people that can allow primary drivers to sleep in the passenger seat for a few hours.  If  you can help drive animals to safety, please email Ann.

2) Transport for hay! As of this week, thousands of bales have been donated, and just need transport.  This includes 2,000 bales in Mocksville, NC, 1200 bales in MN, and 250 bales in PA.  Please email Ann if you can transport hay. OR, you may phone
Capt. Morgan at 205-266-7224.

3) Adopt an animal - Adopting animals from your local shelters and/or foster programs makes room for the animals that are still being brought in EVERY DAY, at the rate of HUNDERDS EVERY WEEK
