LEARN AND PREPARE

Several disaster preparedness courses are available online at the FEMA website. 
Louisiana has now made the completion of some of these course a REQUIREMENT for any volunteers entering into the state to help after a diaster. Those required courses are:   IS 100 & IS 200 - Both Related to Incident Command System;  IS700 - Incident Management; IS800 - National Response Plan.

Other animal rescue-related courses on this site include IS10 and IS11 - Animals in Disaster Parts 1&2", and IS111 - Livestock in Disaster.
