Remember the case in Sanford, NC where over 300 dogs were found in deplorable conditions at the property of  hoarder?  For a reminder and updates, click here.

The fantabulous folks at Animal Legal Defense Fund and many equally superb volunteers stepped in to prosecute the 'owners' and care for the victims.

Talk about persistence and dedication! Almost 2 years after discovery of this abuse, the NC Court of Appeals issued their opinion in the case of ALDF v. Woodley, and it was a UNANIMOUS ruling for the ANIMOUS (and ALDF).

Over the course of this case, OVER 300 dogs have been vetted, socialized, loved, fostered, and adopted.  There are just a few more that still are hoping for a safe, caring home of their very own.
