Church congregation comes to the rescue…

(This posting listed as a courtesy)

About 5 weeks ago, someone dropped off a momma dog and 7 puppies at a church in Maiden, NC. The church members have adopted most all the puppies. Mom and 1 female puppy are still looking for a home.

The mom is ~50 lbs.  She was underweight when rescued, but now she’s looking much healthier. They are not sure how hold she is. The puppy is ~10 weeks old and is probably 15-20 lbs now, but she’s growing every day.  The puppy has a stockier build than the mom…so they think she will be about the size of a German Shepherd.

Lisa says the mom has now been spayed; the puppy will be spayed the week after Thanksgiving.

They are excellent dogs.  "Pretty Girl" (the mom) seeks out affection more than food, although she initially was considerably underweight. "Brownie" (the puppy) speaks when spoken to, in a playful way.  Both dogs are very sweet and smart. Both get along well with a canine foster sibling. Pretty Girl likes to bark at cats from inside the foster family’s fence. They are not sure if she is cat friendly or not. Brownie seems to love everyone and both really like children.

If you can provide a loving forever home for either of these deserving gals, contact Lisa Prettygirl_101707_dPuppy_101707_c
